I am going to introduce myself just for those who don’t know me.  Hi my name is Rachel Jackson and I am a singer/songwriter and speaker.  I write music inspired by the Word of God.  I share my life experiences and how I overcame to bring healing to the broken.  I strongly believe in being real and honest with God, others, and yourself.  It is good to know who you are and not wear a mask.  Be who God has called YOU to be. I love to promote camps because they promote Jesus and I have seen so many lives changed through them. We sent our son to Green Country Camp this year with our church. Goodness, I have so much to share!  I feel that I need more time so I can post all that has been happening.  I would like to interact more with those of you that love being involved with social media.  So the first thing I'd like to share some of what all has taken place this summer.  Our life was blessed by various camps for the entire month of June.  Falls Creek being one of them.  Falls Creek is a BGCO owned and operated summer youth camp located in the beautiful Arbuckle Mountains in Davis, OK. Each week they host over 6000 students and sponsors on the campgrounds. This evening I was trimming our bushes and it made me think how sometimes we as Christians need a trim. Over time some little branches start growing their own way then the bush begins to look lopsided or out of shape.  Some of the branches stuck out so obviously it made me laugh thinking, "Why on earth didn't I see that and trim it before?" Other branches were not such a big deal but still affected the shape and just needed to be minimized. Sometimes life too is hard to balance.  If I had just taken a step back and took a good look at the big picture I would have seen it was not in the best shape or what was intended.  I think life can be this way at times.  We have so many pursuits that are not bad necessarily but in the big picture don't have a lot of value. We also have some things that are so big and obvious but for some reason, we just didn't bother to remove it. Maybe we were thinking it would just work itself out.  Concluding thought, I needed a trim....

Me and Jared took a little trip to Dallas and met up with this guy!!! So worth the 10 hours on the road!
