Speak Life & Have Hope

The reason I write these newsletters at all is because I hope to encourage, minister truth and hope, reach out to people, and partner in prayer.  Because if you ask any of my closest friends, I am not a good speller or good with grammar, or desire to be a writer at all.  In fact its almost like one of the things I don’t like to take time to do, I would much rather talk face to face then write.  But for some reason God has laid this on my heart.  So I write when it comes to me and just flows out so easy it took no time at all.  This is really how my songs come to together as well.  Written in 15 mins and done. :)

Today I would like to share Jovie Marie Jackson!  She is our new little addition to our family.  Now we are the Jackson 5. hehe!  Her name means Joyful and she sure is!!!  She smiles more than any baby I have ever known!  She is so much fun!  There were no complications with her is delivery what so ever.  I am so thankful.

True story........ Gavin and Aliyah prayed every night for us to have another baby. Its so funny that this was something on their hearts. I mean Jared & I talked about it a few times privately but we were really thinking about it a whole lot at this time in our lives. When I found out I was pregnant and shared with the kids they yelled with joy, “It worked!  God answered our prayers!”  So funny and brings joy to my heart!  They love her so much as do we!

Please know I was told I would never have kids due to me being insulin resistance & PCOS.  Here is a link about the condition. ----> Insulin Resistance & PCOS   I had hope and continued to speak life into my situation.  Insulin resistance & PCOS causes a lot of problems, with infertility being one of them. So really.... me having my children was a shock to the doctors all 3 times!

Want to share one of my favorite songs!!!!
Toby Mac - Speak Life

There are so many women that can not have children, who have not been able to hold one, or have been told they can’t. I just want to say don’t ALWAYS believe what you are told by doctors.  I would like to minister some hope to you! Not only was I told I couldn’t have any but I was told that if I did conceive I would most likely miscarry. So I should just save the heartache and give up and have surgery to prevent pregnancy so my body would not go through that. You don’t have to have that fear, you don’t have to accept it and give up. I never had a miscarriage and never had to go through all the trouble of fertility MEDs.  God took care of me and all three of my children. I never was shaken by what I was told and just knew inside I would have children. I didn't accept what I was told and prayed instead.

I have a friend I was talking to yesterday and she share with me her little miracle. She had 4 miscarriages and then all of a sudden with no complications at all had a strong healthy baby boy.

So have hope and not listen to everything you are told. We have a big God! His plans are what we live for, hope, and believe.

Refuge Verdigris, Falls Creek, and Worship

Goodness, I have so much to share!  I feel that I need more time so I can post all that has been happening.  I would like to interact more with those of you that love being involved with social media.  So the first thing I'd like to share some of what all has taken place this summer.  Our life was blessed by various camps for the entire month of June.  Falls Creek being one of them.  Falls Creek is a BGCO owned and operated summer youth camp located in the beautiful Arbuckle Mountains in Davis, OK. Each week they host over 6000 students and sponsors on the campgrounds. There are eight total weeks of youth camp at Falls Creek and each summer we host a total of upwards of 54,000 guests!   Here is a link to see more information about this camp!  You should check it out and consider it if you have never been and are looking for an experience to have with your students. Be Real. Be Honest

Something I believe in is talking candidly and honestly without fear of what others might think.  It should be for another's benefit to let them know of something that is usually hard to discuss. It is good to express sincere thoughts and opinions that are intended to be helpful. The two are not necessarily always inclusive but it is good to actually mean what you are saying and learn from each other.  Real talk is about things that are meaningful which is the opposite of what seems to be on Facebook.    There is something funny about honesty.  We often wrongly assign honesty to one we admire, but sadly, honesty is a characteristic not inherent or natural in humanity. To be truly and completely honest with someone, one must first be truly and completely honest with oneself. A lot of times we are incapable of seeing past our own fears, desires, prejudices, convictions, emotional attachments, memories, and flawed perceptions. It is hard viewing things witho...
