HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!! & WELCOME TO MY NEW BLOG

New Blog .................
So I have never had a blog before and never thought I would. lol.  I have had many say I should instead of sending out my newsletter email.  So Im going to try it. Please know I don’t claim to have good grammar or spelling. So have fun reading this.  lol

Blogging plan .................
So here is the deal. It is super hard to not share about other things in my life. Cause really your life should reflect worship.  Worshiping God is a Lifestyle.  So this is kinda a blog of my life a bit.

New Band .................
We are still in the process of getting a new band together and hopefully getting some backups for when someone cant make it.  Please share if you are in the Hopkins County area or even Dallas area. I have to be honest Im so naturally inpatient. This process is driving me nuts.  I want to start playing at events now.  But I want it to be with excellence so until we got it all together I am still using tracks.

Radio play.....................
I love this radio station!!!!!!  Check out this video about them

Air 1 says that if they start getting enough requests for my music they will play it!!!!  So PLEASE PLEASE my Oklahoma & Texas friends and family, call 888.956.1300 or email (http://www.air1.com/Connect/Contact/Default.aspx).

They also have a Mixology every weeknight from 10-midnight where you can determine the playlist!  You can make a request and if your song gets enough votes Ashton will play it! (http://www.air1.com/music/vote.aspx)

Event:  Good News Book Store.....................
Jared & I are working on a Christmas Set to play in front of the Good News Book Store.  Once I have a set date for this I will let you guys know!

Event:  Tyler.....................
I have been asked to come Lead Praise & Worship and share at an event in Tyler!  I am meeting with the ministry on the 10th for details and will share when all is set!

Duplication.....................
I have ran out of CDs!!!!!!  I have given SO SO much away and now I dont have enough money to order more at the moment!  You can still buy on-line thought. Soo I am thinking about just making new business cards with a barcode for iphones to scan and take ya there to buy.  I will just start handing them out like crazy.  I can make one song a free download to get them to check me out. You can buy my music so many places on-line.  I compiled them on this page on my website.  (http://www.racheljacksonmusic.com/music.html)

Oklahoma..................
So In the past month I have been to Oklahoma 3 times! One of my close friends had a baby & went to visit her.  I also spend time with my mom who had been missing me sense I moved to Texas now 6 months ago. Went for a I.D. ministries event and then Thanksgiving!  My brother is going to have me come again in a few weeks to work on a project with him for 2 days at Retrospec Films.  (http://www.retrospecfilms.com)
I live only 45mins past the state line.  3.5 hours from Broken Arrow, OK so no big deal and easy drive. Here and back on one tank of gas!  Time is family is so important.  I made a post of my facebook not so long about about this.  We should never sacrifice our family to be at church every time the doors are open. It is just not biblical. We should be showing our family they are important and the love of Christ in was should be poring out to them too. I am reminded of this verse.

1 Timothy 5:8  “But those who won’t care for their relatives, especially those in their own household, have denied the true faith. Such people are worse than unbelievers.”

Church ..................
Rachel & Aliyah Jackson
 & Christy Nockels
We had a “Fall Festival” that was open to the community and had around 200 people stop by!  We had free food & drinks. Games set up to win prizes. Passed out candy of course.  Had an indoor maze.  Sense the Festival it has been so cool to run into people we met and remembered us from the Festival.

A group of us also took a trip to Texarkana, Texas and worshiped with Christy Nockels & Kristian Stanfill!  It was a wonderful time of worship!  I love going to others concerts! Christy Nockels remembered me from a year ago at Fall Creek when she got one of my CDs & conversed with me! Christy Nockels has been around for years and has met so many more people than I have. Made me feel special to be remembered!

Apartments across from Church

Our church has been taking opportunities to outreach when opportunities are seen. Although what I am going to share is sad God has used it for good.  The apartments across the street behind a housing addition caught fire.  No one was hurt!  But 16 units burnt and 80 people were effected by this.  Families lost everything they had.  This is the same one Jared took some of our teens to. They knocked on doors months ago just inviting them to church. Our church decided to adopt a family and our church people got together clothes, furniture, kitchen ware, toiletries, food, and diapers. The family said that they are better off them before the fire because of our churches givings!  We have gone a spent a little time with strangers and gave to random people that expressed need for curtain things.

Our church still go the laundromat to minister to people and offer to pay for their laundry.

I.D. Ministries.....................
If you didn’t know I am on staff with Individually Designed Ministries. (http://www.idministries.com)  Our mission is helping young women find true love by realizing their ultimate identity is found in Jesus Christ! ID Ministries desires to communicate God's message of love and redemption with every opportunity presented to them. We do alot of outreach to pre-teens, teenagers, and college-age women.
I.D. Ministries Staff
Every year we have a weekend event called Converge in Oklahoma.  (http://www.convergeok.com)  This year to theme was “Unmuted”.  This was a weekend to address the elephant in the room.  The things we all see but dont talk about. Tough and tricky topics like sexuality, abuse, cutting and homosexuality – prevalent issues in today’s culture. It was an amazing time watching these young girls open up and be honest.  Then chose to surrender their lives to our Lord Jesus!

Rachel Jackson & Dara MaClean

Dove Award nominee Dara Maclean lead the music and worship on both days of Converge. (http://www.daramaclean.com) I got to talk with her for a while and she was so so encouraging! I loved her and how she motivated me to keep pursuing what God laid on my heart so long ago in doing music ministry.

Please check I.D. Ministries out and book us for a retreat!

Life is a journey....my testimony.

Updated on September 13, 2017 Let me introduce myself first. My name is Rachel Jackson, I am a singer/songwriter and speaker. My heart is to minister to people and encourage people to be real and honest with God, themselves, and others. My prayer is that through music and word will come healing, deliverance, restoration, and salvation. In ministering in this way a movement was started that has made a large impact in schools. I have been in ministry for 16 years reaching out to women, children, youth, and college aged students.  My music has received regular airplay on several radio stations across America. I have led worship in many settings from church camps to inside prison walls. I serve as a youth leader next to my husband that is the youth pastor of Angus Church in Sand Springs, OK.   Jared Jackson and I have 3 kids together and have been married for 13 years. I’ve been blessed with a life that lends itself to exploration and discovery. My greatest find during my journey,

Some Strengthening

With all the troubles in this world some need a little help. We were never met to do this life on our own anyways. Sometimes it can just be that you feel stuck and unable to successfully change your feelings, thoughts or behaviors. It is likely that you are being affected by experiences from your past.  Any experiences that continues to exert a negative influence is traumatic.  Not all traumatic events are horrifying or tragic.  Sometimes traumatic experiences are remembered, but often they are repressed or forgotten.  I would like to introduced you to Guy Earle.  Guy Earle is a certified counselor in Rapid Resolution Therapy. He is also author of “Transformed Through His Thoughts.” and “Purpose is a Decision, Discover, Develop, and Disseminate the riches within you”.  Guy is the director of Counseling for Dr. Tony Evans at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship  ( http://www.ocbfchurch.org /).  Guy is a speaker, trainer, author, and life coach.   If you are in need of some strengthening
